“Ranch was one of the several roofing contractors I had called upon for estimates to remove my existing fieldstone chimney down to the roofline and strip/reroof the entire house. Don Carter of Ranch Roofing came out to meet with me and was the only individual that showed up and actually took measurements, inspected the attic space, etc before sitting down to talk specifics, materials, etc. All other companies just handed me a quote when they walked in the door, without looking at the actual house. While it’s easy to bid a job based on experience, every home is a bit different and I appreciated the time Don took. I dropped off a signed proposal and less than a week later my roof is done. Ryan pushed my job ahead of some others because of the fact my chimney was leaking and he wanted to make sure it was taken care of before the next big storm. Despite the early morning snow on the day scheduled for the work, the crews got right on the roof and in about 4-5 hours time had demolished the chimney, framed in and patched the roof plywood, stripped all old material off, installed new drip edge, ice & water shield the entire roof, new boots, new shadow board, and new shingles. They did an excellent job cleaning up and were very transparent with everything. Dave Jenson, the project manager, showed me pictures he’d taken of the fireplace removal, framing, etc. so that I could see the work that was about to be hidden under the roof and make sure it was up to snuff. It was. They were NOT the cheapest bid I saw, by any means, but the quality and job they did far surpassed what was promised to be by other contractors.” – March 2018
